GEORGE NEWS - A man from George who recently moved to Oudtshoorn was arrested on suspicion of fraud on Thursday 13 February.
Edward Boshoff (42), who was arrested at his home in High Street, Oudtshoorn, appeared in the George Magistrate's Court on Friday 14 February.
According to George police communications officer Nolonwabo Tshengu, Boshoff faces 10 charges of fraud jointly exceeding R60 000.
"It is alleged that he had been conning people by letting them believe he will install electric gates or garage doors. He would take a deposit but never completed the work," said Tshengu.
On Friday Boshoff was released on bail of R5 000. He appeared in court again today, where the case was postponed to 5 March.
