WESTERN CAPE NEWS - Premier Alan Winde detailed the Western Cape Government's response to future waves of Covid-19 in his weekly digicon. The full statement is available here.
According to a media statement by the premier earlier today, as of 13:00 on 3 March, the Western Cape has 3390 active Covid-19 infections with a total of 275 700 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 261 088 recoveries.
A total of 14 196 vaccines had been administered by 17:00 on 2 March.

- Total deaths - 11 222
- Total active cases (currently infected patients) - 3 390
- Tests conducted - 1 343 097
- Hospitalisations - 1 153 with 264 in ICU or high care
The Western Cape has recorded 25 additional deaths, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the province to 11 222. We send our condolences to their loved ones at this time.
