GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality Electrotechnical Directorate has recently experienced a number of power outages due to cut trees falling on electrical overhead lines.
George Municipality urges consumers to contact the directorate before they intend to cut down a tree themselves or have it done by a private contractor.
Should there be a possibility of an overhead electrical line being affected or damaged our officials would be required to monitor the situation.
In the event officials find that it would be too dangerous to cut down a tree, they will have to arrange a shutdown and cut the tree themselves.

George Munisipaliteit versoek verbruikers om die direktoraat te kontak voordat hulle beplan om 'n boom af te sny of dit deur 'n privaat kontrakteur te laat doen.
