Club members enjoyed exchanging expertise and cross-pollinating ideas and plants.
Serious collectors/cultivators, like Dr Piet The-ron and Gordon Fraser, made their presence felt. With his entries Dr Theron and his wife, Jeanette, came second and third overall - with his yellow species taking the limelight; while Gerhard Faber came first overall.
The 'Best own breeding specimen' category was won by Ricky and Noelia Jardim. The Therons have a magnificent garden and a clivia nursery.
Chairman Randolph Young said as usual, collectors and exhibitors came from far and wide. There were 31 exhibitors this year displaying 302 plants with some exhibitors coming from Bloemfontein and the Eastern Cape and even from Witsand.
