GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The NSRI appeals to surfers, paddlers and bathers to be cautious along the Southern Cape coastline.
A whale carcass in shallow surf at Buffel's Bay is attracting noticeable increased shark activity.
The juvenile humpback whale, measuring about 8m in length and between 2-3 years old, is believed to have beached sometime in the afternoon on Saturday 15 August.
The carcass has been left for nature to take its course.
