GEORGE NEWS - The organisers of the annual carols by candlelight of Zenzele Aftercare in Blanco are appealing for donations for snack packs for 500 children that are expected to attend the event.
It will be held this coming Saturday, 10 December, for the community.
Last year, 413 children were spoiled. Eats such as chips, lollipops, Fizzers, sweets, small juices and small chocolates are needed for the snack packs. The organisers would also like to give each child a piece of cake and a glass of juice to enjoy at the event. "Donations would be much appreciated," says Elzenith Williams, one of the organisers.
Anyone who can bake the cakes or donate cakes, may contact her on 061 254 2727.
Families are invited to join in the festive evening. Bring your camping chair and a candle. The venue is next to the Blanco Congregational Church in Fortuin Street.
