GEORGE NEWSFLASH - George Municipality is experiencing problems due to a massive pipeburst affecting the Eastern mainline. A 600 mm GRP pipe burst at Kraaibosch Manor.
This has left all reservoirs almost empty. Resulting in low water pressure and no water in high lying areas, excluding the Western area of city.
Residents are URGED to please use water sparingly until further notice. Further updates will be provided.
This is a complicated repair and may take some time to resolve. A civils team is currently working on the repairs.
George Municipality apologizes for any inconvenience.
