GEORGE NEWS - The body of a man was removed from the infamous “drug house” in Cathedral Street yesterday morning, Monday 24 January.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, no criminal investigation was instituted as the deceased allegedly died due to natural causes.
“It is reported that he suffered from TB and had such medical records,” said Pojie.
The so-called drug house has been a thorn in the side of residents and business owners in the area for some years with ongoing complaints ranging from constant screaming, swearing and fighting in the street in front of the house, alleged drug dealing, prostitution, theft out of motor vehicles and vandalism, to abuse and people urinating and defecating in front of the house and on nearby properties.
