GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Glenwood House College announced its matric results this morning, Friday 19 February.
Principal Dennis Symes says it is an absolute proud moment for him to announce that they have kept their 100% pass rate intact.
The school released the matric results this morning to the 66 learners who were very relieved to finally learn their results and can finish their applications.
Glenwood matrics have achieved 131 distinctions altogether - two distinctions per candidate. There are 13 average A candidates and four have earned seven distinctions each.
“These results are even more remarkable,” said Symes, “when we factor in the bizarre circumstances and pressures under which these students had to not only sit the examination, but also performed well and in many cases exceed expectations. These results are a testimony to true resilience and tenacity.”
Symes said with the 100% pass rate, Glenwood House has kept its unblemished record intact. “It is a relief for many of our matrics (and parents) to now be able to finalise their applications to universities and colleges all around the world.”
He wished them all God’s speed as they embark on the next, exciting chapter of their lives.
The candidates with seven out of seven distinctions are Kirsten Barbour, Scott Smuts-Muller, Adrienne Vercueil and Anke Young.
