Update: York Street re-opened after motor vehicle accident @15:30

One lane of York Street which was temporarily closed due to a Motor vehicle accident has been re-opened for traffic.

GEORGE NEWS - One person was apparently injured in a road accident at about 14:00 today (2 May) in York Street in front of The Bed Shop just before the Mandela Boulevard interchange.

At this stage it is uncertain what happened, but a white bakkie is lying on its side across one lane of the street.

More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
