GEORGE NEWS - Two men, Geert Dirk Jurgens (59) and Dirk Hendrikus Jurgens (52), were found guilty on fraud charges in the George Regional Courton Friday 8 November.
According to a spokesperson for the Hawks, Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi, the men were the directors of a company that built motorhomes onto vehicles.
"It is alleged that victims paid in advance for the vehicles and deposits on the motorhomes," Vukubi said.
During the investigation it was found that the vehicles and motorhomes never existed.
"The offence was committed between 2013 and 2014 to the total value of R6 811 611," said Vukubi.
The court found both accused guilty on nine counts of fraud.
The matter is postponed until 31 January for sentencing. Both accused are out on warning.
