GEORGE NEWS - Pacaltsdorp police have opened two counts of attempted murder for further investigation following an incident on Sunday 19 May at about 22:00 at a shop in Cycad Street, Pacaltsdorp.
According to Western Cape police spokesperson Lt Col Malcolm Pojie, it is alleged that the victim was closing the shop when four suspects approached and threatened him before he was shot.
"The victim sustained two gunshot wounds to his right leg during the struggle with the suspects. He was transported to a medical facility by private transport," said Pojie.
A friend of the victim attempted to assist, but the suspects also fired shots in his direction. According to reports he escaped unscathed. No arrests have been made yet.
