GEORGE NEWS - A suspect is still on foot after a 35-year-old man was shot dead as he was crossing a walkway over the N2 near Lawaaikamp in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 2 September.
Conville police responded to reports of a shooting at about 00:25.
They found the man lying in the walkway between the Thembalethu footbridge and Florence Ntonzini Street in Lawaaikamp with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police opened a murder case after paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies, the motive for the killing has not yet been established.
