GEORGE NEWS - Three women accused of human trafficking, Success Egabor (41), Nontobeko Mathunjwa (35) and Precious Abudu (34), will make their next court appearance in the George Regional Court on Monday 17 February for pre-trial arrangements.
Egabor was arrested in Cape Town in May last year by the Department of Home Affairs for being in the country illegally.
She was then handed over to the Hawks as she was also wanted in connection with human trafficking. The others were arrested shortly thereafter in George and Cape Town.
Another woman, Nyaradzo Ellen Gwenzi (39), was also arrested on a charge of human trafficking at a well-known brothel two days before the other three.
Gwenzi will make her next court appearance in the Thembalethu Regional Court tomorrow, Friday 24 January, for a possible plea agreement.
