GEORGE NEWS - Nearly R100 000's worth of counterfeit goods were confiscated by police in the CBD on Monday 16 September.
Three undocumented persons aged between 21 and 29 were also arrested.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies, the operation was performed by members of the Western Cape Counterfeit and Illicit Goods policing team, Public Order Police, Garden Route District Crime Combatting Team and Brand Protectors at a premises in Hibernia Street.
Various items including toothpaste, deodorant, shoe polish and cellular telephone accessories were confiscated.
"These operations form part of continued efforts by police and strategic partners to address crimes which threaten the economy of this region," said Spies.
