In Greater Boston, Massachusetts they say that if you live on the East Side you shop on the East Side. George will soon be saying that if you live on the east side you train on the east side. Owner, Jeanne van Staalduinen and special guest Hennie Kotzé, the only IFBB (International Federation Body Builder) pro in South Africa, on Saturday opened the doors of The Extreme Body Factory at the Fairview Office Park on the corner of First and Knysna roads in George.
For five years Jeanne was involved in the fitness industry in the US. She knew that when she started a gym in South Africa it would be conceptualized as a health club that creates a personalized environment for members to pursue their fitness goals. Jeanne says that many gyms overwhelm potential patrons with too many rules. The notion of personalized service and the finest in fitness facilities has proved to be a winning formula in the USA. The Extreme Body Factory Gym is modelled on this concept and will be the first in George and South Africa.
The best equipment is designed to give maximum results from minimum time and training programmes are supervised and managed by competitive body builder and Personal Trainer Andre van Niekerk, who will lead the dedicated team. For peace of mind Kallie de Vries the floor manager has a basic ambulance first aid competency. The receptionist and floor assistant Suané Schoeman toured Asia for two and a half years on a cruise ship as a gym trainer.
Jeanne believes that you must prepare the clients for success. She has adopted the following as her motto in life: "there's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results."
Quinten Rall, the conditioning coach of the SWD Eagles and well-known body fitness expert will be part of the team providing personal training and motivation to the members. Transformation competitions with great prizes to inspire members to reach their goals will be held at regular intervals.
Hennie Kotzé, featured on the cover of this month's Muscle Evolution magazine, was at the gym to inspire the youth and update the trainers with the latest methods that he observed on his recent visit to the USA, where he entered bodybuilding competitions. "I will be visiting the Extreme Body Factory Gym once a quarter. At the moment I am preparing for my tour to England for the next round of competitions".
The Gym will be open 7 days a week from 05:00 till 09:00 weekdays and on Saturdays from 07:00 till 14:00 and Sundays from 13:00 till 18:00. For further information please phone 044 050 0022.
