GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - OJANNA Distributors, supplier of drywall, ceiling, insulation and acoustic products, celebrated their third birthday in June. Since starting trade in 2017, they have made impressive inroads in the local market.

Founder and owner Niel Kasselman says without their loyal customers and dedicated staff members, Lucrechia, Nothan and Ria, this would not have been possible. Niel is well known in the building industry, having worked for international company Saint-Gobain Gyproc for 18 years.

The use of residential dry-walling in South Africa is on the increase. Plasterboard has better thermal and acoustic properties than brick and mortar. It is faster, easier and cleaner to use, and no foundation is needed. The fire-resistant boards offer a two-hour fire rating when used for walls, and a one-hour rating for ceiling application.

OJANNA distributes Badger, SuperTec, KNAUF, Pelican, Capco and DONN products, as well as plasterboard and plasters from Gyproc and Marley, among others.

OJANNA is negotiating with local manufacturers to distribute laminated flooring and PVC ceilings. With their newly acquired four-ton truck, they can now also offer a better delivery service.
