GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - The Grumpy Griller in York Street in George has, for the third year in a row, been selected as a finalist in the Wolftrap Steakhunter Championship.
Last year The Grumpy Griller was named the best steakhouse in the Western Cape and came seventh out of 115 restaurants in the national The Wolftrap steakhouse competition. Grumpy is the only Southern Cape entrant to have achieved this.
The judge, celebrity chef Peter Goffe-Woode who is also the author of Kitchen Cowboys, accompanied by local chef Francois Ferreira, visited The Grumpy Griller last week.
Owner Martin van Der Breggen and his staff are waiting with bated breath for the final decision. The results will be announced in Johannesburg on 18 July.
