Miemie Cronjé has been doing business in George for years. She also owns Gametronic and is the centre manager at both the Pre-Cap Centre and Evstel Centre.
With Miemie being someone with a healthy lifestyle, her acquisition of The Sandwich Shop, combined with Juice Worx right next door, is right up her alley.
The two shops offer healthy, nutritionally packed take-away meals and they are only a phone call away - ideal for the health conscious with a busy schedule. "People are increasingly becoming aware of the importance of a healthier lifestyle, but with our busy schedules it is often difficult to make sure you have proper sustenance during the day," says Miemie.
Between the smoothies and freshly extrac-ted juices at Juice Worx and the huge selection of sandwiches and salads at The Sandwich Shop, this is made easy.
Clients get their daily 'fix' of vitamins and minerals and an energy boost at Juice Worx from an exciting range of fruit and vegetable juices (juicing by extraction) and smoothies. Booster smoothies like the Sport Smoothie with Biogen (100% whey protein) and Gym Junkie will have you feeling on top of the world and ready to face the day's challenges.
The smoothies containing wheat grass are anti-oxidant and nutrient-rich. Wheatgrass has amazing properties - it aids in weight control and cleansing of the body, boosts the immune system, contains a host of vitamins and 90 different minerals, and helps reduce high blood pressure.
At The Sandwich Shop, clients are spoilt for choice with a huge variety of fillings on either a sandwich, sub or in a wrap. Portions vary to suit the not-so-hungry days and those days when only the biggest portion will still the hunger pangs. Vegetarians are catered for and carnivores may choose between red meat, chicken or fish.
There is a special section for breakfast, a Speciality Sandwiches menu and a large selection of salads. Both shops have attractive seating so clients can take a breather
and enjoy their meal there. Lavazza coffee and cappuccinos are also served.
The Sandwich Shop furthermore prepares sandwich trays, snack trays, deli combination trays and 'surf and turf' trays if you want to cater for a special occasion.
Deliveries fast and free
Deliveries are free and Miemie says one of the aspects of the business that they are focusing on now, is the streamlining of deliveries. "During peak times, we sometimes have a bottleneck and to correct that, we will appoint new drivers if necessary. We want our delivery service to match the quality of our product."
Delivery hours: 09:00 to 15:00 on weekdays and 09:30 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
Shop hours: 08:30 to 16:30 on weekdays and 09:00 to 14:00 on Saturdays.
