Advertorial Update
GEORGE NEWS - Expectations are mounting as we approach the Glenwood House EdenXperience, Eden's premier family festival hosted by Glenwood House School on 13 and 14 September.
The annual fundraiser is set to attract over 7 000 people over two days, offering a wide range of fun-filled events for the entire family.
At 18:00 on Friday evening the flagship event, The George Herald Run with the Stars, will commence. This stunning 10km route through Loerie Park and Eden neighbourhoods is not to be missed. If the 10km is a little overwhelming for you, there will also be a 3km fun run/walk at 17:30 offering loads of prizes to those dressed to the theme, "Critters of the night". Pre-entries are open at www.edenxperience.co.za.
Don't miss out on the Pentravel-sponsored raffle offering a trip to Bali for three people including flights and accommodation. Make sure you give yourself the best chance to win the prize - tickets are available here or at the Glenwood House EdenXperience!
The third Xtreme Waterpolo tournament will be in full swing from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon at Glenwood House School's Aquatic Centre with participants from the Western, Eastern and Southern Cape. The tournament is set to showcase an action-packed weekend of great competition and sportsmanship.
The Little Glens Dash at 16:00 for pre-schoolers, themed "Critters of the Night", will give the little attendees their share of the competitive fun. Prizes are up for grabs for the best recycled, upcycled or homemade costume.
The event is over a manageable 100m arranged according to age groups. Great fun for competitors and spectators alike!
The food stalls and Glenwood House Beer Garden will be open on Friday from 16:00. Relax and enjoy some of the best local entertainment to help ease you into the weekend.
As always there will be a variety of food to satisfy all tastes and keep the whole family energised.
The Kids Fun Park offers inflatable fun for the young ones. It will be open from 16:00 on Friday until the festival concludes on Saturday.
Get to Glenwood House School bright and early on Saturday morning as the school is set to host over 400 preparatory participants in the annual Hockey Festival. The event draws competitors from all over the Garden Route and promises to show some high-intensity hockey action.
Our main sponsor, George Herald, has supported the Night Run for several years. In recognition of their leading role in the success of our event, a portion of all proceeds is handed over to the George Herald in support of their many charity events.
The festival also supports Glenwood House School's efforts of carbon footprint reduction, by reducing, reusing and recycling waste wherever possible.
The Glenwood House EdenXperience is grateful to all the sponsors and new associate sponsors, Spar Wellington and Patio Warehouse.
