GEORGE NEWS - The EdenXperience 2019 is delighted to welcome new sponsors on board. Investec, Spar Wellington and Patio Warehouse have joined the action-packed sports and family event to be hosted at Glenwood House School on 13 and 14 September.
The Glenwood House EdenXperience is jam-packed with events and entertainment for the whole family.
The flagship event, the George Herald Run with the Stars, takes place on Friday evening. With a scenic 10km route through Loerie Park and Eden neighbourhoods, this is not to be missed. If the 10km is a little too daunting, join the 3km fun run or walk offering loads of prizes to those dressed to the theme, "Critters of the Night".
Pre-entries are open at www.edenxperience.co.za.
On Friday afternoon the themed Little Glens Dash for pre-schoolers, sponsored by Spur, will take place on the sports fields. Offering great fun for participants and spectators alike, the dash is over a manageable 100m according to age groups. Dress up as your favourite Critter of the Night. Prizes for the best upcycled, recycled or home-made costume.
Don't miss out on the food stalls and live entertainment starting at 16:00 on Friday evening, helping you ease into the evening. Entertainment promises an array of the best talent in Eden.
You can also quench your thirst at the Glenwood House Beer Garden on Friday and Saturday.
The food stalls will be open on Saturday morning to make sure you are ready for the day's events. The Kids Fun Park will also be open throughout the festival to ensure the little ones don't miss their fill of the fun.
The third Xtreme Water Polo tournament will be in full swing from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon at the Glenwood House School's Aquatic Centre. Teams from the Western, Eastern and Southern Cape will showcase an action-packed weekend of sportsmanship.
Glenwood House School is also set to host over 400 preparatory participants in the annual Hockey Festival. The event draws competitors from all over the Garden Route and promises to show some high-intensity action throughout the weekend.
Don't miss out on the Pentravel-sponsored raffle offering a trip to Bali for 3 people including flights and accommodation. Make sure you give yourself the best chance to win the prize - tickets are available here or at the Glenwood House EdenXperience.
The Glenwood House EdenXperience supports the Eden community by donating a portion of all proceeds to the charity causes of our main sponsor, George Herald.
The festival also aims to support Glenwood House School's policy of reducing, reusing and recycling waste wherever possible.
