Clark has been the owner of Outeniqua Refrigeration for the past 15 years.
The runners-up in this category were Michael du Plessis of Grow Green Organics and Alida Maree of Wicam Accounting.
Koba Oosthuizen of Phapamani Internet and Training Centre was named Entrepreneur of the Year, with Vanessa Jacobs of Sow Delicious as runner-up.
The Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde emphasised the importance of growing entrepreneurship as it is the ultimate employment creator.
GBD President, Dr Willie Cilliers said the chamber had set the standard by winning the Business Chamber of the Year award. He added that the chamber would continue to empower people with training courses to become budding entrepreneurs. In his address, Dr Cilliers declared 2015 as the year of the entrepreneur for George in which all roleplayers including the local authorities will be called upon to work together to create jobs as this fundamentally remains the most challenging issue that needs to be addressed.
