GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - Nominations for the George Business Chamber (GBC) Business Person 2016 close on Tuesday 23 August.
The awards ceremony and gala dinner will take place on Friday 2 September at Bygracealone near George. Alan Mukoki, CEO of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI) will be the guest speaker.
Two other winners will be announced in the GBC Entrepreneur 2016 and GBC Junior Ambassador 2016 competitions.
The awards are anchored in the notion to 'Identify, encourage and reward excellence and competitiveness'. With these awards the GBC aims to recognise exceptional achievements in the George business sector. At the same time, it also seeks to inspire budding entrepreneurs by emulating and exceeding the achievements of those who traversed the road before them.
Persons nominated for the GBC Business Person 2016 must be members of the GBC. However, persons nominated for the GBC Entrepreneur 2016 do not have to be members. Winners will benefit from regional and national media exposure.
