GARDEN ROUTE AGRICULTURAL NEWS - The Milk Producers' Organisation / The Dairy Mail Innovation Awards 2018 are open for entries.
The awards are aimed at celebrating companies and products that conceptualise and produce technological solutions that assist South African dairy farmers in improving their efficiency, productivity and profitability.
Companies that have a cutting-edge, state-of-the-art product that they believe is worthy of recognition, are invited to enter. "The dairy industry is currently facing a number of challenges, which heightens the critical role of innovation in making dairy farming more competitive and sustainable. This is why the Milk Producers' Organisation (MPO) is rewarding and celebrating innovation in the dairy industry," says Dr Chris van Dijk, MPO chief executive.
Entries should be original, useful and add value to dairy farmers and producers nationwide.
The Dairy Mail editor, Robyn Joubert says, "The Innovation Awards always showcase ambitious new products and developments of the year from a range of companies, large and small. Keeping an eye on the finalists and winner is always a good way to spot the industry's next big trend."
In order for your product to be eligible for the prize, it must have entered the South African dairy producers market between 1 July 2017 and 30 June 2018.
Entries are accepted in a variety of categories, including on-farm innovations, dairy processing innovations, and information technology and management systems.
