GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has advised that maintenance will take place from 08:00 to 15:00 and may result in temporary interruptions to water services across the Uniondale area.
The work will involve maintenance on the clear-water tanks at the water treatment plant, as well as essential roof replacement construction.
Scheduled water outage
- Date: Tuesday, 22 September 2026
- Time: 08:00 to 15:00
- Affected area: Uniondale
Residents and businesses are urged to make the necessary arrangements for possible interruptions to the water supply.
If unforeseen circumstances delay the planned work, the water outage will be rescheduled to:
- Backup date: Wednesday, 23 September 2026
- Time: 23:00 to 08:00
The municipality says it will make every effort to notify residents and businesses of any scheduled interruptions through its official communication channels.
