GEORGE NEWS - George Library will host Cape Town author Marilize Roos for a two-hour writing workshop on 29 September, giving aspiring writers an opportunity to explore the practical steps involved in turning an idea into a published story.
The workshop will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 and is aimed at people interested in writing and learning more about the publishing process.
From first idea to publication
Roos will cover a range of topics designed to help participants get started with their writing, including how to develop an idea, character development and plotting.
The workshop will also explore what happens beyond the writing itself, including getting published, cover design and typesetting.
For aspiring writers who have an idea but are unsure where to begin, the workshop offers an opportunity to gain practical insight into developing a story and understanding the steps involved in taking it towards publication.
George Municipality is inviting aspiring writers and anyone interested in having their stories published to attend the workshop.
