I have recently been admitted to the George General Hospital for the removal of a tumor in my face. And never could I have imagined what a positive experience it would be! From the first CT scan technitions, right through the ECG, the X-rays, the full body examinations, to the end of my stay, I have been treated with friendliness, and with the utmost respect.
And I am referring to everybody: the clerks at adminastration, cleaners, those who brought me breakfast, lunch and dinner, the sisters on duty, the doctors and surgeons, to ALL of them it seemed that I mattered. And I was but one patient in a buzzing hospital.
I want to mention the names of dr Stark, dr van Zyl, dr Kruger and dr Brooks whose dedication and professionalism didn’t take away their friendly care. The atmosphere in this hospital is one of an uplifting spirit, and I want to take my hat off to all: well done!
You are bravely doing an exceedingly difficult job with remarkable resilience and dedication. I want the people out there to take note: this is how the health department of any town/ city should serve their community with excellence. Regards Hantie van Graan
