My bekommernis is dat vlak 2D-waterbeperking ingestel is, maar die kraan by Victoriabaai se strand het gister [Sondag 11 Januarie] sonder ophou geloop. Alhoewel die storte af is, word die buite kraan gebruik om voete/sandale/speeltoerusting en so meer se sand af te was.
Dit is 'n vermorsing van kosbare water in hierdie tyd van waterbeperking.
Ek het die munisipaliteit se nommer, 044 801 6350, wat versoek om vermorsing aan te meld gebel, maar is na siviel deurgesit. Siviel het my verwys na wetstoepassing en toe is ek deurgesit na die hoofgebou ... waar niemand optel nie. My versoek is dat die kraan summier gesluit moet word óf daar moet goeie kontrole wees.

The water tap referred to is linked to the Victoria Bay campsite, which falls under the management of the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM). Our Community Services Directorate is engaging with the relevant authorities to isolate the tap to allow for it to be switched off or better controlled.
