Repo rates, business cycles and prime rates were the talk of the day when the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) sent delegates to George last week for a meet-and-greet with future economists, accountants and business leaders. Grade 10 to 12 learners of various schools in the district, including Percy Mdala High in Knysna and Point High in Mossel Bay, had the chance to learn more about the function of the SARB. All these learners take economy as one of their school subjects.
