A group of protesters made a last effort on Wednesday 27 March when they took to the streets with placards, showing their utter dismay in the Basic Education Laws Amendment (Bela) Bill. Local humanitarian non-profit organisation, God Cares International, organised the event. Some of the protesters travelled from Mossel Bay to join the march, which took place in York Street. Thursday 4 April is the last day to submit written input on the Bela Bill to the Standing Committee on Education. Send an e-mail to Wasiema Hassen-Moosa, Procedural Officer (wasiema.hassenmoosa@wcpp.gov.za) or a voice note or messages on WhatsApp (060 250 6165).
