ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Youngsters are hard at work rehearsing for a brand-new show, Back to Broadway, at the Oakhurst Insurance George Arts Theatre.
The production will be showcased during six performances on Friday and Saturday evenings 18 and 19 June; and 25 and 26 June, with two matinees on the Saturdays.
Director Wayne Strydom is excited about the show and calls it a celebration of the talent in George.
"Looking back at what we have done, and looking forward to the future, I think it's going to be a very exciting and fun show," said Strydom. "It's a sing-along, laugh-along, warm and fuzzy fun-along show. We owe it to our children to keep the doors open and the lights burning."
Long-time theatre crony, Schalk Visagie, who played many a role in the theatre's homegrown productions, will feature as the piano accompanist for Back to Broadway.
Bookings can be done through Computicket or the theatre.
