Yorkies jazz up the stage with a cabaret

GEORGE NEWS - It’s show week for dancers, singers and musicians of York High School with their It's Jazz Cabaret. After the first show tonight, Wednesday 16 August, there are two more to go - Thursday 17 August and Friday 18 August.

All shows start at 19:00 and tickets cost R50.

"Every second year York High takes on a project of this size, and for us it is fantastic to flaunt our dance items with the school's own orchestra and singers on stage," said dance teacher and show director Linda Johnson.

The production encompasses the school's entire dance squad, all their musicians and singers in one single show.

Guests can expect a dance and music extravaganza with an incredible range of jazz styles including lyrical, afro, street, theatre and contemporary jazz.
