GEORGE NEWS - Lovers of rock 'n' roll and the outdoors are invited to enjoy a picnic show at the Garden Route Botanical Garden on Saturday 20 January.

The well-known local band Cloud 9 will start their performance at the garden at 15:00, featuring their narrated musical show Rock 'n' Roll Legends. 

This new presentation follows the hugely successful Story Of Rock 'n' Roll shows previously held at the garden.

Band leader John Archer promised it will be a special experience in an absolutely beautiful setting, with the mountain as a backdrop and plenty of shade. 

"Just bring your food and drinks, plus your picnic gear, and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of live music performed by one of the Garden Route's favourite bands." 

Entrance is R80 per person and accompanied kids enter free, so you can bring the whole family to the picnic party. 

Gates will open at 14:00. 

Part of the proceeds will go towards the garden's funds to stay afloat financially.
