GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Carpe Musicam!'s Christmas music performance Joy to the World will be showcased in George and Mossel Bay in December.

The production consists of 90 minutes of hand-crafted, artisanal, free-range, organic music that has its origins in the Christmas celebration.

Just about every item concentrates on the stable scene, but there are also one or two modern "takes" on the more commercial side of Christmas.

The full orchestra and choir will be joined by the Pops Band members.

The combination will offer an appropriately soaring, soul-touching experience for this special time of year.

The Carpe Musicam! Pops Band and Roots4Rhythm Marimba group will provide light music entertainment for 30 minutes before each performance.

Two performances

There will only be two performances. The first will be at the Outeniqua High School hall at 19:00 on 15 December.

The second show will take place in the Mossel Bay Town Hall at 18:00 on 17 December. Tickets are priced at R150 for adults. Under 18s may enter free. 

Tickets can be booked online via www.carpemusicam.co.za or bought for cash at the doors before each show.

Enjoy the refreshments that are for sale an hour before each concert, or bring your own picnic.
