GEORGE NEWS - Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, fun and community spirit at the 'Musiekpret-aand' being hosted by People Against Substance Abuse (Pasa) on Saturday 5 October.
It promises to be an exciting event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for a critical cause, namely substance abuse prevention in schools.
The organisers promise a great line-up of activities with a celebration of music, competition and having lots of fun with some awesome prizes to be won. From upbeat tunes that will get you dancing, to soulful melodies that will touch your heart, there will be something for everyone.
"By supporting the event, you will help to make a real difference in the community," says Pasa project manager Wayne Windvoël.
Every ticket sold will help Pasa to continue their vital work in local schools, educating children and teens about the dangers of substance abuse, and providing the tools they need to make healthy choices.
The organisation has been instrumental in preventing substance abuse among young people, offering workshops, counselling, and life skills programmes to schools across the Garden Route for almost two decades.
"This is going to be a fun, safe, and wholesome event that is perfect for couples to have some fun away from home. We are thrilled to host this evening and are grateful for the community’s support," says Windvoël.
The event will take place at the George Municipality's banquet hall, starting at 17:30.
More information and tickets are available from Wayne Winvoël (071 469 9353) or Freddy Trout (071 090 4450).
