It was also the occasion that owners Howard and Cindy Rawlings celebrated the launch of their first single malt, oak matured whisky. "It is the first to be produced in the Garden Route using locally produced barley and the local 'brak' (salty) water," said Howard.
The limited edition was soon sold out. General Manager Pierre de Bruyn was elated when over the weekend just before Christmas Misty Meadows was jam-packed with music lovers.
"We were sold out of Buzzard Light Ale - our own beer brewed on the premises - and out of pizza as well."
The Rawlings family are opening a leather hand-crafted shop later this year on their resort, which has panoramic view over Jonkers-
berg and a nearby dam.
