GEORGE NEWS - The George Music Society proudly presents a performance by "Ha!Man" (Francois le Roux) at the Dutch Reformed Mother Church in Courtenay Street on Tuesday 12 April at 19:30.
Le Roux goes by the name "Ha!Man", which conjures up a world in which creativity begins, not with an intellectual idea but rather an instinctual breath from within.
For over twenty years this musician has been performing as a spontaneous cellist, pianist and organist, building a network of support in four continents.
Francois le Roux redefines the modern South African genre, rocking the roots of traditional African rhythm and challenging preconceived ideas about what one is allowed to do with these instruments.
His genius as a cellist and extreme skill at improvisation makes each of his performances and compositions unique.
Joke Debaere from Belgium, coming from a theatre and writer's background, joined him in 2012. These artists have moved countless people around the world, energising local communities towards more creativity and connectivity.
Their unique performances might not be easily defined, but are generally deeply felt and long remembered.
Tickets for this unique performance will be available at www.georgemusicsociety.co.za, as well as at the concert. Prices are R150 for public, R100 for members and R40 for learners.
