GEORGE NEWS - A Funky Masquerade Ball at the Fairy Knowe Hotel on Saturday 2 November promises to be an evening of magical fun and entertainment - and it is for a good cause.

The event is being organised by the Wilderness Residents and Ratepayers Association in aid of the Alien Vegetation Clearing Team (ACT) in Wilderness, so if you support this event, you support alien vegetation clearing efforts in the Wilderness area.

It promises to be a fabulous event with good food, music and dancing on the menu. Delectable canapées and light finger foods will be served while the talented jazz-blues band, the Malrene Boyce Trio, welcomes and entertains guests before a tombola and auction starts. This will also be in aid of the ACT.

Then the party will begin to the music of DJ 'Tia DM'. The music is designed for all ages for guests to dance their hearts out.

There will be a cash bar. The evening starts at 17:30 for 18:00.
