GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The performance by musical duo Olga de Wit and Vandiét Marx was the perfect accompaniment to a food and wine pairing at Royal Siam Thai Restaurant in Wilderness on 27 February.
Owner and head chef Jacques Chapman hosted the welcome mid-week break with De Waal Wines and his choice of artists were on mark.
From the onset the beautiful voices of De Wit and Marx enchanted the audience with iconic classics such as Bette Midler's The Rose and Katie Melua's hit Nine million bicycles.
After the three-course Thai feast and more than enough sampling of the wine, the duo let rip with a variety of upbeat numbers, including a few Afrikaans folk songs that saw diners dancing on the deck.
