Firefighters make history in Canada
A video of 301 singing South African firefighters - of whom 6 hail from George - has gone viral, touching many hearts and giving South Africa some much needed positive publicity on the international stage. The fire fighters of Working on Fire are shown bursting into spontaneous song and dance inside the airport at Edmonton, the capital of Alberta, Canada on Sunday 29 May, shortly after their arrival. The men and women are part of the biggest South African deployment ever, outside of the army, to assist a foreign country to combat fires.
