The campus was the chosen venue for the @lantic Schools Sevens Festival, featuring 16 schools from the region and further afield. The final between PW Botha College and Oudtshoorn High School culminated in a 17-7 victory for the Oudtshoorn team.
The fun-filled day included a rugby clinic for aspiring sevens players, as well as bulletjies rugby, featuring eight-year-olds from the Eden district.
Players and spectators alike were treated to a special visit from Springbok Sevens coach Paul True.
At the end of 2010 George Campus was also host to the first university rugby sevens tournament - an event which will again be hosted at Saasveld later this year.
