MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A group of boys from Mossel Bay have been selected to go on an U19 rugby tour of Ireland.
They were selected following their excellent performance at the Arthur Johnson Sport Week this year.
The boys are:
- Lionardo Misland (Hillcrest Secondary School)
- Reinhardt Nel (Point High School)
- Lucky Tshawe (Point High School)
- Jay-Cee Botes (Point High School)
- MJ de Lange (Point High School)
- Floris Marais (Point High School)
- Kobus Botha (Point High School)
- Vondre du Toit (Point High School)
- Christiaan Pretorius (Point High School)
- Kyle Wienand (Point High School)
A spokesperson for Travel and Sport, organising the tour, said: "Travel and Sport has been sending more than 3 500 learners overseas annually since 1995 on various academic, cultural, history and sport tours.
"This is a unique opportunity for these players, who were selected purely on merit. We have been privileged to be part of the Arthur Johnson tournament for many years and even more privileged to make learners' dreams come true."
Donations can be made towards players' participation in the tour.
