GEORGE BOWLS NEWS - Wilderness Whales won the Challenge Division of the Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty Spring Business Challenge at the George Bowling Club last Thursday evening after beating FNB in an exciting final.
Wilderness Whales and FNB were tied on 65 points and were separated by a shot difference only at the end of the game. The Plate Division was won by ABSA Garden Route Mall on 54 points with a much-improved Seequent Team in second place on 53 points.
At the prize-giving, special thanks was given to the main sponsor of the Business League, Tim Kirby of Lew Geffen Sotheby's International Realty, and the bar sponsor, Heineken, who ensured that every player walked away with a prize.
The George Bowling Club looks forward to the Summer League, which commences on 7 February 2019, and would like to thank all the participating teams for their ongoing support in this fun bi-annual event.
