GEORGE NEWS - Victoria Bay will come alive for the annual Vic Bay Quad in memory of John Pfaff this weekend, from today to Sunday, 11 to 14 June.
Over these four days, more than 105 surfers from across the country will compete in one of South Africa's largest amateur surfing events.
Teams from Eden Surfriders, NMB Surf Riders, Western Province Surfing, Cape Winelands Surfing and Buffalo City Surfriders will battle it out at one of the country's most iconic surf breaks.
So whether you're a passionate surfer, a beach lover or simply looking for a great day out, pack up the camping chairs, bring the cooler box and join the vibe at Vic Bay.
2026 Rip Curl Vic Bay Surf Pro
The 2026 Rip Curl Vic Bay Surf Pro will take place from Friday to Sunday, 19 to 21 June.
The organisers have confirmed a growing list of prizes, partner activations and event experiences ahead of the competition, which is set to begin this month.
The Rip Curl Vic Bay Surf Pro QS 2,000 and Rip Curl Vic Bay Pro Junior will once again bring South Africa's top surfers to Victoria Bay, where they will compete for World Surf League ranking points, prize money and national recognition.
The official opening kicks off with a meet-and-greet function at The Pottery at 18:00 on Thursday 18 June.
The event will be broadcast live on WorldSurfLeague.com and via the free WSL app, allowing global audiences to follow the action from Victoria Bay.
