GEORGE NEWS - Two senior members of the George Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate school recently returned from Okinawa, Japan after an intensive training programme under Grand Master Kikugawa Masanari Hanshi, the technical director of the OGKK International organisation.
Sensei Angelo Prins was awarded his 7th dan (nana dan) and Rocher le Grange 6th dan (roko dan) after performing in front of a seven-member grading panel consisting of 8th dan to 10th dan Goju Ryu Karate masters.
Both started their karate career at the young age of eight under the guidance and supervision of sensei Jannie le Grange, George Shibu chief instructor.
Sensei Angelo is a karate instructor at the OGKK George East dojo and Sedgefield dojo, while sensei Rocher is a karate and Ryukyu Kobudo instructor at the George Shibu dojo.
