With only 6 rounds in all, there is no time to waste if a team wishes to place itself in contention for the prizes up for grabs and many fine contests were the result.
Games were played on strength versus strength basis this week following the initial sorting out round. This produced a couple of close matches as well as some surprisingly one-sided results.
Two teams took their games by the scruff of the neck, obtaining 14 out of a possible 16 game points - Tavcor York, who snatched top of the log and just behind them the Old Mutual team.
The experienced Millers team grabbed 13 game points to shoot 7 positions up the table into 8th place while the Niflas B team, with 12 game points, had the greatest jump up the table, moving 9 positions up into 14th position.
Newcomers LetMeRepair almost emulated this achievement with an 8 position jump up into 13th position - promising much as they face the next few rounds.
Debt Wise, after a stunning opening round victory, found themselves brought down to earth as they plummeted no fewer than 12 positions down the table. Almost as sad a tale was registered by the Crack Squad who fell a total of 11 places this week.
Nevertheless, not all losses were fully negative - Ricoh, the sponsor’s team, despite going down the Multistone team, still found themselves improving their opening position by no fewer than 6 places.
Teams now look forward to Round 3 to be played on Thursday.
