GEORGE NEWS - Those who love their parkrun on Saturday mornings must remember to join the group this coming Saturday 6 April at 08:00, at the Garden Route Botanical Gardens for the George parkrun's 10-year anniversary celebrations.
"We are looking to get 1 000 participants on that day," said communications officer Wayne Ryder.
Ryder want to see as many participants as possible for this coming parkrun. A commemorative picture will be taken after participating in the 5km run / walk.
"It's a real special event, so make the effort to get out of bed early and give your body, mind and soul a much-needed rest," said Ryder.
Everyone will gather at the garden and start at 08:00, as usual.
The first George parkrun was officially opened by nine-time Comrades winner Bruce Fordyce on Saturday 5 April 2014. In South Africa, George was the 29th town to launch a parkrun.
