GEORGE NEWS - The final round of the 2022 Sotheby's Summer Business League was held at the George Bowling Club on 3 March.
The winner of the evening and session prize was George High, who beat the team of Cash Connect by a whopping 23 points to 11 (winning 11 of the 12 ends played).
The winners of the overall cup competition were the Supporters, who on the night beat the spirited team of Mazars Blue by 16 shots to nine.
The summer business league is held over six weeks with the teams being divided into the cup and plate divisions after the third round. Runner-up in the cup division was Daisy Solutions, that has been playing in the business league for a fair number of years.
Third place in the cup division was filled by Millers, also a campaigner for many years.
The plate event was won by George High, with Moore's in second place and Raubenheimers in third.
The George Bowling Club thanks Lew Geffen Sotheby's International for its continued support of the summer and spring business leagues over many years and that has supported the George Bowling Club in its effort of developing lawn bowls in the Eden district.
