GEORGE BOWLING NEWS - The Sotheby's Summer Business League got off to a great start at the George Bowling Club on Thursday 24 February. 

Twenty-four teams have entered the ever-popular event that takes place at the club biannually.

The first round was played with a little drizzle later in the evening, but this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the players. 

There were a couple of good matches and the winner of the evening was the team from Daisy Business Solutions. In second place at the moment is the team of George High. 

The winners of the last league, Tellcorp, are well placed in 4th place. A great thanks to Sotheby's for the sponsorships of the "melktertjies". The next round will be played this Thursday. Four new teams have entered the league this year - two from Tekkie Town, one from Parkdene High, and a team known as the Miskruiers.

Thanks must also go to Discovery that, besides entering a team in the Sotheby's Business League, has sponsored the lucky draw prizes.
