NETBALL NEWS - The local social netball development took to the netball court at Thembalethu Stadium on Saturday 5 August in support of the Netball World Cup that took place in Cape Town.
The young ladies represented Rising Stars, Peace Lovers, Green field, Young Teenagers, Moonlight and Bangalo.
Rising Stars defeated Peace Lovers 22-10 in an entertaining game with the Rising Stars first team employing the pace of Asanda Ngcwangu from the centre of the field, supported by Avuyile Female and Similar Solani.
Two Peace Lovers players, Miselwa Ngcongca and Siyasisanda Bangumhlaba, were kept on their toes defending their poles.
The other game was played between Sunrise B team and Green Field B team. The Sunrise B players displayed great skills, winning the game 19-8.
